Brian Alan is a director who has cultivated a myriad of projects. A Philadelphia native, music and history have always been ingrained in his soul hence his decision to study history as a major at Clark Atlanta University. Influenced by the stories that make up who we are, he began studying film and writing the same way he approached his studies.
Always having a penchant for creative writing, Brian began writing poetry culminating in a cult following online. Following his poetry's success, he was inspired to express his visual aspirations through writing scripts and filming music videos for local Atlanta artists.
Following graduation, he moved to New York, immersed himself in the underground music scene leading to a Sony Records' opportunity, documenting artist tours. It wasn't until a short-lived apprenticeship with Director Sarah McColgan, that set in motion his desires to fully pursue his filmmaking career. Through this position, Brian lent in hand to many successful productions leading to his decision to take his talents to the west coast.
Since, Brian has worked with artists such as NeYo, Usher, Chris Brown, WuTang, H.E.R.; brands Grey Goose, Jack Daniels, Disney, and Clean & Clear. He is currently residing in Los Angeles, developing scripts, directing a myriad of music videos, and compelling content projects.
